SO...how about an update! lol  I am at my grandparents' house right now, and I am so happy that summer school is finally over.  I get to move into my apartment on the 19th, and then I get to go back to work.  School starts on the 28th so I get to kind of have a vacation, I guess.

NOW THE IMPORTANT STUFF!!!  I am going to visit my mom in San Antonio the weekend before school starts, I think.  Next Thursday I get to go somewhere near Austin with some friends from church to a A&M Christian camp thing to tell about our church and an organization at A&M.

OK SO THE REAL REASON I AM UPDATING!  I am going to come to HOUSTON next week!!!!  I am only going to come for a day or two, depending on when I come, but I am still SO EXCITED!!!!  I miss Houston...well, by Houston I mean my friends and family from Houston, of course.

Well, that is pretty much all I have.  My summer has consisted of summer school, church, and hanging out with friends.  I have become closer to some friends in College Station.  SO despite summer school, my summer has been pretty much amazing, except for missing some people of course.  Well, I love you guys, and I will hopefully get to see you soon..next week sound good? ;)

Praise God I am Broken

I have known about the Invisible Children for a while, but I had never actually seen the documentary until last night.  Wow.  So this was my day yesterday.  I was already frustrated because I felt like I didn't do well on a math test I had on Wednesday.  My frst class was cancelled, so I thought it would be a good day; I could sleep in a little or whatever.  So, I went to the rest of my classes like usual.  Then, in my computer science class I got a test back, which I failed miserably.....so i might fail the class.  I would like to think I am good with controlling my emotions, but I was so mad in class that I nearly cried.  I called my grandparents to tell them and even if I fail they are ok with it because I did try my best.  I mean it will suck though.  SO here I was complaining about my test and my stupid class when my roommate asked me if I could pray for her sister.  She was in a bad car accident and had to get xrays to make sure her back and neck weren't broken.  So here I was complaining about a dumb class and a dumb grade and she's actually worried about something that matters.  It really put things into perspective for me.

Thursday nights, my homegroup has a prayer time where we just together and pray for everything people have requested that week, etc.  Well, last night we decided we would watch the Invisible Children documentary and then pray for them.  So we did....my heart physically hurts for those children, for their parents, even for the members of the LRA.  Even knowing already what it was about, I was still so shocked by it.  God has just really broken my heart for these people, and I am so grateful.  Even here, I can't even help but cry.  In case you don't know who the invisible children are, I'll tell you.  They are children in Uganda that walk for miles every night to go to a bigger town to be safe from the LRA.  The LRA, Lord's Resistance Army, go around and abduct kids and train them to kill others.  They kill a lot of people and children and if they refuse to kill they are killed.  The girls have to become wives of the men and if they resist and don't show respect they will be killed.  In the movie one kid who escaped with one of his brothers (the other one was killed) told about crying...he said that if you cry, they know you are thinking about home and you want to escape and so they will kill you.  Another kid that escaped said that he gets headaches if he doesn't see blood.  Even the invisible children that travel to be safe aren't.  Many of the girls that travel get raped in these towns.  I can't even explain in words how awful all of this is.  What's amazing is despite all fo these circumstances, these children sing praises to God just for making it to the city every night and for making it home.  These kids play and dance and be joyful despite all of these circumstances.

If you do want to know more about the invisible children or participate in the Global Night Commute on April 29th--or want to find out what that even is, go to the website:

So, my friend's band opened for Trapt at the Livestock Show and Rodeo on Saturday night.  The only way you could get tickets was to win them from the BUZZ though.  :(  So I couldn't go.  Only I found out  today that my friend had like 40 wrist bands so he could have gotten me in!!!  It would have been so much fun, but that's ok.  There will be other shows.  I was really excited for him though that he got to open for Trapt.  Awesome!

Hey, I just wanted to say that I miss everyone so much!  I love you guys, and hopefully i will get to see all of you over spring break.  Ok that is all for now, not because I can't talk forever (you all know I can), but because I get to go study! Yay???

Well, I had a pretty good Thanksgiving break.  Jonathan, Austin, his sisters, and I all went to see Walk the Line.  It was a really good movie.  Plus, my cousin got to go with me to A&M Thursday night.  We went to midnight yell, hung out with two of my friends, Rachael and Chase, and Rachael's sister also came.  It was tons of fun.  Then on Friday, we got to go to the UT/A&M football game.  Man, how about them Aggies! :)  It was a really good game.  UT students were allowed to sit in our section for the game because we didn't sell out on tickets.  This one guy from UT was screaming at Reggie the whole time!   It was so funny!  He was like, "Yeah, take that Reggie!", etc.  So finally we decided to let him know that Reggie hadn't been playing at all this game.  Anyway, it was really fun and I enjoyed the game.  Plus, the UT students around us were pretty cool....I remember how rude some of the Baylor students were when we played them, so it was cool to hang out with nice rivals for a change.  After that, I went back to my grandparents' house, did laundry, relaxed, and studied for the weekend.  The only bad part about Thanksgiving break was that I didn't get to see everyone that I wanted to see, but I guess there's always Christmas break.
